Welcome to 
This is an introductory level course which aims to develop your cultural awareness and help to build cultural competence.
The course consists of six short modules.
- What do I know about diversity?
- Cultural diversity in Australia
- Who am I?
- Who is in the community?
- Cross-cultural communication and engagement
- Cross-cultural communication - specific issues
We recommend that you complete each module in order, as learning is built from each completed topic.
Each module:-
- takes about 30 minutes to finish
- requires you to complete a follow-up task at your workplace and
- provides you with relevant resources (such as articles, videos and links)
This course is self-paced and self-managed. When you finish the course you receive a Certificate of Completion that can be verified and signed off by your manager.
This course is a foundation course and must be completed before you can access further specialist courses on this site.
